Kaelen starts towards his office door, carrying me with him. I wrap my arms around his neck to steady myself.

“Kaelen! What are you doing? Put me down!” I demand but I’m breathless with laughter. He pauses in the hallway. Still holding me close.

“Do I have to? I think I’d rather just keep you here like this. I don’t want to let go.” I can’t help but laugh again.
