Her eyes reddened as she looked at Gideon. "May we send her away?"

"Yes," Gideon answered without hesitation.

He turned to Gareth. "Tell Her Majesty to return. Inform her it is my decision."

Gareth was not surprised. He bowed and withdrew.

Oriana exhaled quietly.

"Finish the medicine?" Gideon asked.

She nodded and drank the rest obediently.

Afterward she said, "I'd like to sleep a little longer."
