Gideon inclined his head. "Your Majesty. Lieutenant Dalton has returned safely. He is in the carriage nearby."

Tiberius nodded, though his attention was not fully on that matter at the moment. He circled Gideon once, studying him carefully. "You're not hurt?"

Gideon smiled faintly. "Your Majesty told me to return safely. I wouldn't dare do otherwise."
