Beatrice stepped forward and asked, "Is this the child? Let me see."

Callum clung tightly to Desmond's neck. "Mr. Dance, I'm shy around strangers."

"It's okay. Don't be afraid," Desmond reassured Callum, patting his head. 'He's usually quite outgoing; why is he so shy today?' he wondered.

Beatrice could only see the back of Callum's head. She asked calmly, "What's his name?"
