Valerie’s POV

“It’s okay. It’s nothing.”

I ignored Gideon and just carefully held his hand, caressing the handkerchief tied around his fist. It was tainted with his own blood and I know it hurts. He punched the windshield. It’s nothing easy.

“How did you find me?” I asked gently as I slowly lifted my face to look into his eyes.

The expression on his face softened as he stared at me. “I found Mara
