My heart started racing. Lord Malthus. He was real and in the flesh. I looked to Ronin who was watching the scene with rapt attention.

I tried to slow my heartbeat as I too focused on the conversation.

“This better be good Vendra. You know I hate being disturbed during dinner.” Malthus said with a bored tone.

Vendra. So it wasn’t the real Elysia. That means the girl in the other
