With the ritual done, we were now headed to Zarek’s tower. He pressed 3-1, letting me see the grand foyer area. It led out to the hallway and royal entrance. The other door, the one in front of us led to a spiral staircase that was spaced in a way that each full rotation led to the next story.

I was nervous. He held my hand gently, taking me up to the next floor. It was a library, and inside
