The damp, rough stone of the exterior corridor wall pressed hard against Nyssa’s spine as she slipped deeper into the shadows. She leaned her head back, closing her eyes, and dragged in a shaky, desperate breath. The heavy, earthy scent of old masonry and wet moss filled her lungs, doing little to settle her churning stomach. She needed time. She desperately needed just a handful of precious minut
