Lara was fast asleep.

She was hardly settled under the blanket before she was completely out. Her hair was still damp from the shower. Wet ends lay across her cheek, soaking the pillow. She didn’t eat. Didn’t say much after we got here. Just showered and collapsed into bed like her whole body gave up on the day.
