With a slow nod of head, Vaughn gestured for me to go to him. The feminist in me had to look the other way when I was responding positively to being summoned. I looked back at Nadine apologetically.

“Well I need to–”

“Yes of course.” She cut me off with a knowing smile. “Don't let me keep you.”

“I’ll see you later.”
