Remembering he had to give her a shoulder to lean on instead of showing any sign of weakness, Dominic tried his best to get a hold of himself.

He wiped the tears off his face with his palm and diverted his attention to calming Serena. It took a while but she eventually calmed down.

Dominic wiped tears away from the corner of her eyes and then went ahead to kiss her cheek.
