I know we’re about to give her the antidote, but seeing Cal laying there really got to me. I can feel a lump in my throat as I listen for her heartbeat. I already know she doesn’t have one. I start giving her chest compressions. A million memories of her hit me all at once. I feel a bit emotional as I continue to try to revive her.
