Chapter 23

“Why are you coming up with me?” Roman asked, clearly puzzled by Valerie’s behavior. Normally, she’d have him drop her off somewhere before he headed to the office.

But today, she was doing the opposite.

“Am I not allowed?” Valerie replied sweetly, her voice dripping honey. “Do you mind?”

Truthfully, Roman never complained about anything she did. He was used to Valerie doing whatever she pleased.
