After Faye left with Toby, it was just Macy and me. Faye could lie to herself all she wanted, but I knew she wanted her mate, just as much as I wanted mine. She had it easier though, Toby was a pure wolf.

“Um, no he’s not,” Macy said to me.

“Huh? Who’s not what?” I asked. She just gave me a look. “Did you read my thoughts!?”
