He wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me into his side.

"You look tense," he muttered, and I glanced back to stare at the men—but they were gone. I pursed my lips.

"I saw two men. Creeped me out," I muttered, before looking around the room. There was no possible way they'd just suddenly disappear, right?
