I was surprised to see Rhys in the hospital.

I had finished the emergency operation only twenty minutes ago and was having a coffee with the nurses just to relax. It had been a complicated procedure. The pup was a breech baby and her mother was under intense labor pain. The operation was done in the nick of time, so the mother and pup were both doing fine.

Rhys’s expressions were dark. All th
