Watching from Above

The entire R&D department stood in absolute, breathless, shocked silence. The air in the usually bustling laboratory seemed to have been entirely sucked out of the room. Dozens of scientists and researchers stood frozen at their workstations, test tubes and clipboards forgotten in their hands. They stared in pure, unadulterated disbelief at the violent aftermath unfolding right before their eyes.
