Elara POV

Vespera looks pitiful in the wheelchair. The elders stand there, looking at the girl, some with sympathy, while Zaric and Varek cast scathing glances at her. I can feel myself beginning to tremble, as the elders wait for the Alpha twins to speak. The elders are earlier than anybody expected them to be. We thought we might have a few more days at best, but that looks as though we were wro
