My jaw clenched and I scowled at him deeply.

“Don’t look so bum,” he drawled, waving the phone in his hand at me. “Your rescue team is coming. Though it is going to take some time.”

“Let me go, you fucking asshole,” I seethed. “Killian is going to kill you!”

My gaze narrowed, and I forced myself to remain steady even though my heart was pounding hard against my chest.
