A Picnic

After Timothy left, the new cook, Miranda, settled well in her position. Vicky was having a hard time adjusting with her. I have no idea but Vicky didn’t like how poised Bella was. She whispered to me one day that Miranda acted like she was superior to all others. She barely talked with people around her.

“But she makes good food,” I said to Vicky. “Besides, if she doesn’t want to talk
